Tails to Pails is all about clean! Sustainability is fundamental to our core values to keep our environment clean for generations to come.
Every time we clean a yard in the Chicago metro area we help protect you and your water from contamination. Even the EPA considers dog waste to be harmful, which is why it was labeled as an environmental pollutant in 1991. The smallest amount of fecal material can contain millions of harmful disease causing cells like:
When Tails to Pails removes your dogs waste we take the bad stuff with us.
Not all biodegradable bags are the same. We maximize sustainability through the use Bioplastic bags. These bags are made from natural materials, like vegetable oils, corn, and grains. Many biodegradable bags in the market are made from petroleum products. Our bags return to the earth and provide nutrients to the soil. Bioplastic doesn’t use petroleum and produces 70% less carbon in the manufacturing process.
We sanitize our equipment before every visit to your yard. This assures that any potential diseases won’t end up endangering your dog. Instead of bleach or other caustic substances we use biodegradable solutions. When it is time to dispose of our cleaning materials we aren’t adding toxic chemicals to the environment. Again we are working to keep clean water clean, and continuing our sustainability practices.
When it comes to keeping our world clean, it starts in our hometown of Chicagoland and every little bit helps. At Tails to Pails we live by a core value of sustainability. We pledge to do our part to make the world cleaner for all.
